Our introduction to Native American Church was through the Roadman Kingfisher’s International Church of the Four Directions. That was when we were taught to respect the four directions and also the importance of the four directions. Something so seemingly obvious as the four directions might easily be missed, yet a deeper meditation on the subject invites a profound understanding of the essence of each direction and the meaning associated with each of the four cardinal points.
